DC at Dusk and Capitol Lights

2009.12.23
The streets were mostly clear, the sidewalks were narrow and snow piled up everywhere.

Mountains of snow.

This intersection was fairly clear. 5th and Constitution NW.

The Tim Russert exhibit at the Newseum.

I remember watching NBC news on this 2000 election night. The next day I would leave for Tallahassee and spend the next 35 days covering the election recount.

This is part of the 9/11 exhibit that I missed the first time. Newspapers from around the world stacked 3-stories high.

Sunset in DC.

This countdown clock was in front of the Canadian Embassy. Countdown to Vancouver.

The Capitol and the tree.

Happy Holidays everyone and a Happy New Year.

A quick trip to Washington, DC for the holidays to visit family and friends. I cannot let a even the shortest moment go by without visiting the Newseum and taking a photo of our US Capitol, especially during the holidays. DC had experienced a massive snow storm 5 days ago, the city was moving. Here are a few photos along the way..enjoy and Happy Holidays.
