A young fan accompanies Chipper Jones to exchange the lineup card. Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman shakes her hand.

Bottom 15th, Omar Infante gets safely to third but that was as far as he could get.

All hugs and handshakes.

Exiting the Braves dugout.

After the game a free concert.

The concourse is almost empty and the end of another season of Braves Baseball.

Storms move into the area and it begins to rain as the game was over.. see you in the spring.

There are always one or two days in the year that people dread for one reason or another. For me it is the last day of regular season baseball, the official end of summer, for me anyway.

The Washington Nationals were playing the Atlanta Braves for the last series of the season. The Nats had defeated the Braves the previous 3 games and for the Braves salvaging a game and for the Nats a sweep.

It would take 15 innings to decide this contest, the Nats defeated the Braves 2-1 and swept the series. I used to work in DC and the Nats have special place in my heart, I root for the Braves but I also like the Nats. See you in spring training when summer returns..enjoy..
