...but it has over 600 sharp curves and over 60 bridges, most of which are of one lane... so it is understandable that the average speed is about 10 miles per hour that tourists unfamiliar with the road can attain... which tends to drive the locals really crazy... luckily this is a very sparsely inhabited area...

This guy, who simply called himself Surf Dude, served the absolute best -tasting $10-Teriyaki Chicken BBQ Plate Lunch with Rice and Slaw I have ever had!!! If you ever drive there, make sure you try it, it is GREAT! -And tell him, the 3 Hungarian Girls send their best regards...

Fabulous again, Agi! Too bad about the rains though. I've been on Kaua'i twice, once with a drought and once with the rains. Waterfalls were much more spectacular when it was raining a lot!
LOL... before I had the opportunity to start reading your post, I was saying to myself, "I photographed those same trees!" Too funny! Sadly I see we made a mistake by buying a picnic lunch to take on the trip... you found a great place to eat, our picnic was not so exciting! Great shots, Agi!
