Museum Night 2011

Somebody came up with the idea to have all the museums in Budapest open up their gates to the public free of charge or at greatly reduced prices and stay open late into the night. This has proved to be such a tremendous success that cities all over the country now follow the example.

Moreover all kinds of spectacles and programs have sprouted up in and around the museums. This guy is part of a Medieval Battle Enactment Group. (Check out those boots!)

I was noticing folk costumes made it back in style. Last time I saw people wearing these shirts were back in the seventies. What goes around, comes around.

What a wonderful idea! Some of the museums are so expensive to get into, that this must be great for the full time residents. Love all your shots! #6 is one that I'm sure the guys will be enjoying!
