What a color palette this bird is!!!

This one was not afraid of people or cameras...

In 2003, The Memphis Zoo got two pandas on loan from China. That is exactly how long I have been postponing to go and see them... now finally I did.
|
I forgot how time flew, and that it is not only me that has gotten 9 years older in the meantime, but those cute and cuddly baby bears, too... they looked old, tired and so unhappy to me... I really should have come much sooner!

This image reminded me of a Leonardo Da Vinci drawing, LA SCAPIGLIATA that is the pride of The Museum in Parma, Italy, and that came to Memphis for a couple of months with a beautiful exhibition about FIRENZE some years ago...

This little guy got away and was running around among the visitors...considering the big crowd there, it is a miracle if it did not get trampled to death...
|

A great set Agnes. I don't like seeing animals in a zoo. They arew sure beautiful. BUt it makes me sad! #1 is beautiful. Boy, I'll bet that girl in the last shot has some lovely smelling hands!!!

Love these Agi. They're awesome. Do you know we've lived here (92 miles from Portland) for over 5 years now and never gone to the Portland Zoo except every time I had to go to the hospital in Portland, we accidentally went to the zoo and then had to call and get directions. lol
