This is another group that I joined on my last day in Istanbul.

Istanbul, as the capital of the Ottoman Empire since 1453 and the largest city in the Middle East, contains a great number of mosques. In 2007, there were 2,944 active mosques in Istanbul. Here are a few of them...

This mosque reminded me of the Djami in the main square of the Hungarian city Pecs, built during the Turkish occupation of Hungary (1526-1686)
