Sunny Saturday

The race against time... would my dutch irises flower before I leave for Japan on Tuesday? One stepped up to the challenge and is triumphantly basking in the sunshine, two others are on their way (and I may not see them in flower). But one is better than none. :)

Everything is coming together for the trip, packing is getting there, I was washing last year's Summer clothes in preparation for Japan's Autumn weather (which I'm excited about, 28-30 degrees daily there at the moment!), hanging out with Jesse the Cockatiel on the back porch. Matt and I did an 'essentials' run to our shopping centre, stocking up on socks-n-jocks, and a new pair of shorts each. Only TWO sleeps to go now!
