Just to set the feminine scene... here are some flowers I have growing on a bush in my backyard (okay... so I lie, the branch drapes over my fence from the neighbour's yard - but close enough ;P)

I decided to make rum balls (also known as truffles here) for the staff at work. Since two people are leaving and I wanted to give them a little something, I didn't think it was fair that the other three women miss out. So it's Christmas treats all around!
|
Roll...dip.... cool in fridge for 4-5 hours, then sort into containers (I used cute little cups bought [cheaply] at a discount store).
|
(Then wrap with brightly coloured tissue paper and ribbon, and they're done! I'm very happy with how they turned out) :)

I'm interested in what Christmas is like in Australia. I work with a man from Australia who said that they went to the beach and picnicked Christmas day and that it took him a long time to get used to Christmas in winter. It's so weird to think it's summer there and that means Christmas time to you. Tell me more... I'm just a "lurker" who wants to photoblog but only have a cheap little digital camera........... Mary
