Lunch at Dad's Place

2007.12.22
Dad's loungeroom looking festive (considering he keeps his tree up the whole year around, it's always festive!) ;)

Dad and his wife, Zhihong.

Mum, pretty in pink, looking over dessert.

Ice-cream being dished out (Mum and my brother Chris in the background)

Mmmm.... frozen berries :)

A few years ago, a mini-tradition started that my family has a pre-Christmas lunch (or dinner), usually because Matt and I are away in Tasmania on the day itself. Even though this year we're in Melbourne, the traditional continued - my Dad offering to host it this year.

My parents are divorced and Dad is remarried, but they're still on decent terms (or as positive as a former married couple of 20 years could be), as evident when they worked together earlier in the year to throw Matt and I a joint engagement party.

Moving forward, it was a nice day today, and not as awkward as one would expect. :)
