Christmas Day 2007 :)

2007.12.25
Christmas Day in pictures... Matt tears open his present from me, a wireless keyboard and mouse (which I'm getting used to using at the moment)

Tea and croissants for breakfast - a special treat! (I'm normally more of a cereal girl in the morning).

Soon after getting ready, Mum and my brother Chris come over to exchange gifts with us. What's that?... a turquoise-themed Christmas bag for me? :D

(Mum, Chris and I)

(Just Mum and Chris)

Chris and I this time (Christmas photos are a tradition!)

Afterwards, we go with Mum's side of the family to a local restaurant that is putting on a big spread. I thought getting this photo of our table reflected in a bauble above our heads was a nifty capture! ;)

My cousins, Brad and Emma (Emma will be one of my bridesmaids in our wedding next year).

Mum and her sister, Lyn.

Lyn and her partner, David (Had to include this photo for its back-story... I was about to take it when out of the blue, a small child sitting at the next table throws a toy at Matt, landing where his plate had been sitting less than five minutes earlier! :P)

A (not-so-good) picture of Matt and I during lunch.

Here are two examples of mains for the day... grilled Atlantic salmon (Matt's meal)

... and roast pork with vegertables (my meal).

After lunch and a laze about at home, we head to Lyn's house to continue the celebrations. Taken at around 6pm, here is Lyn's courtyard at the aside of her house. When she moved in a year ago, this area was completely barren... she has done so much with it, and there are so many areas of interest. I went photo-happy. :P

(Christmas decorations floating in the wind)

Lyn's festive loungeroom, before we all got in and messed it up. ;)

What a great day, surrounded by family! (excuse the lack of photos of the last half of the day, I was busy eating and celebrating ;P)

I hope you all had a wonderful time too, in your respective cities and countries!

dweiskir What a beautiful family. Looks like a great day was had by all. And the roast pork has my mouth watering. It's almost lunch time and that looks a lot better than the fast food I'll be settling for.
