I woke up this morning with a smile on my face (and a strange hairstyle going on), happy in the knowledge that Matt would be coming home that very day!
I asked Matt to photograph something he woke up to that morning, and he took the view of ships finishing the Sydney-to-Hobart yacht race (taken from his family's house... haven't they got the most exquisite view??)
(By the afternoon, the temperature had soared! Note: 40C = 112F). I felt sorry for Matt leaving the cool of Hobart for the inferno of Melbourne. The temparature stayed up all night, it was still 38C at midnight, when everyone in the street hung out of their doors, porches and gardens to proclaim "Happy New Year!!", as the sound of very distant fireworks carried from Federation Square in the City, about 15km away...

Quite a feat, posting each day. I did start off with good intentions, which have fallen by the way. It is hard to post something different and interesting each day. Well Done,,,,,go to the top of the class :)))
