The End of Project365!!

2007.12.31
I woke up this morning with a smile on my face (and a strange hairstyle going on), happy in the knowledge that Matt would be coming home that very day!

I asked Matt to photograph something he woke up to that morning, and he took the view of ships finishing the Sydney-to-Hobart yacht race (taken from his family's house... haven't they got the most exquisite view??)

(By the afternoon, the temperature had soared! Note: 40C = 112F). I felt sorry for Matt leaving the cool of Hobart for the inferno of Melbourne. The temparature stayed up all night, it was still 38C at midnight, when everyone in the street hung out of their doors, porches and gardens to proclaim "Happy New Year!!", as the sound of very distant fireworks carried from Federation Square in the City, about 15km away...

The year has officially come to a close and, with it, my attempt at Project 365. It's hard to believe that looking back, I stuck with photo-taking for a whole year. The blog isn't closing, I'm going to continue with with it in 2008 (after all, I have too many family and friends reading these days :P) and see what it evolves into.

Happy New Year everyone! :)
