Backyard, and Everything In-Between!

2008.03.22
Welcome to the [yet again] jungle of my backyard. All the healthy-looking greenery? In need of a good prune!

[Under the clothesline, burnt follage that needs to be removed/cut back, and the weeds between tiles... don't get me started on that. My Mum will probably have pink fits when she sees what has become of the outdoor space :P]

[....However, my bulb pot is thriving :)]

With such a warm Summer in Melbourne, the cooler weather is finally upon us. Relishing in the cooler mornings and ever-shortening afternoons, it reminds me that I need to turn my attention to the outside space of our unit.

Sure, we rent this place and there is a decided lack of landscaping on the owners or our parts, so it isn't a particular inspiring space to work with. Besides the occasional herb and bulb pots I have, the rest is dead space. Hopefully this entry inspires me to do something with the space... at the very least maintain it!

Queen911 After 30 years of owning our home, I finally landscaped last year. I like the bulbs coming up. Hopefully you will see mine this year.

PaperWings The last shot is great! Love the color and growth! Gardening is one of our (me and andre) favorite things to do. I wish we had time to do more of it! I say...dig in....you will become inspired!

AriesTyger The bulbs are looking good! It's kinda funny to think that as your days get cooler and shorter, ours are getting warmer and longer. Random thoughts that I have when I *should* be working! ;)
