Backyard Blitz

I got out into my backyard, this was the 'after' picture (see link below for the 'before'). By no way near perfect yet, the lawn and paths need to be cleared, and the wheelie bin needs to be emptied before I can do more. ;)

I was chopping back these overgrown plants when I was inspired by what I could DO with the space... so on a whim, out whole bed came! See all of the white dots? Polystyrene balls, like those in a beanbag. Since we've never had a beanbag, I'm guessing it was left from the previous tenants? Annoying to get rid of!

Now all I need is a shovel so I can dig the roots out and replace the soil. Flower bed, here I come...

Remember when I last posted pictures of the backyard of our unit? I was dissatified with how overgrown the area was and vowed to get stuck into the garden once the weather cooled.
So Tuesday was the day!
(I also toyed with an April Fool's Day joke, but realised the universe would probably punish me somehow ;P)
