The Dust Storm

Melbourne experienced the worst dust storm and gustiest winds it has had in the last twenty years, with lots of carnage (photographed by others) and most people losing at least one tree in their yard. Driving past a major intersection in my area, a tall gum tree had fallen on a car, blocking traffic in both directions since the tree had fallen horizontally across the road. Electricity was out to most of Melbourne, turned off completely in sections as a precaution of the danger live wires caused. My Mum lost power for close to twelve hours, thankfully it was only 3-4 hours in my area. Either way, quite a scary day!
