Sydney Trip (Sunday)
2008.06.22
On Sunday morning, Matt, his sister Jess and I set out from the hotel to do a bit of shopping, before heading to the football (soccer) match in the evening. I later find out that a sci-fi/anime convention was being held in Sydney that very weekend - I would have liked to have gone!! (Mouseover picture to see where we stayed in the hotel)

Old architecture mixed with the new, in the centre of Sydney's CBD. Kinokuniya (a book/anime/manga store) is a favourite of mine, and I was thrilled to actually find it (because it was located up three levels, we walked on by underneath it several times!).

Fast-forwarding, these next pictures were taken at ANZ Stadium, where the soccer match was being played. My camera was low on battery power by this point, so I left it back at the hotel and used my mobile phone instead. The cheaper lens gives these photos a completely different look, in my opinion. Kind of raw and gritty, but still capturing the colours of the stadium and sunset well. :)

Even though Australia lost (0-1) it was still a fun time, we headed back to the hotel for some food, and I snapped some cityscapes.
