Sydney Trip (Monday)

Me, in our hotel room before heading out to Taronga Zoo, on the final day of our trip. It is Monday morning and it feels strange to be a whole city away when I should be hard at work teaching children. Within twelve hours of this picture being taken, I would be home again.

A blurry one of Matt and his sister Hayley, but just look at the picturesque landscape you get going to the Zoo via cablecar!

I use the opportunity of being at the zoo to use my 70-200mm VR lens (I usually walk around with my kit 18-55mm), and am pleased with the results. At the very least, the weight is enough to make it feel almost like a different camera!

Sadly, it was at this point after getting home that my memory card decided not to co-operate anymore, and all of the pictures after this were corrupt on the card. I don't know whether it had to do with a low battery or the card itself, but I lost about 80 pictures documenting the end of our Sydney trip. Still, what a good time it was! Now, to get back to regular daily photo-taking...!
