Baking... and Failing

Adding egg yolk to homemade pastry...

Pinwheel mince pie shortbreads are on the way!

It was after this picture that I sliced up the pinwheels, put them into the oven and discovered the recipe had called for WAY too much filling.

No 'after' shot... they taste good but not suitable as the gifts I'd planned for my Kindergarten staff on Thursday. :/

(back to the drawing board tonight)

Muhlyssa I love the idea of baking, but it rarely works out for me. Cooking is so much more forgiving.
