At Kinder this afternoon, I made coloured sand to use with the children in an activity on Wednesday. Sure, it'd be easier to buy bags of pre-coloured sand, but then you wouldn't have the fun of colouring it yourself ;)
Add a few drops of food colouring to regular sand, a sprinkling of glitter, and mix well with a plastic spoon.
Voila ;)
(P.S. - these photos were taken on my Kinder's camera, as I forgot mine today. It's less sophisticated and the colours aren't so good :P)
