A couple of weeks ago we met some new friends who stayed with us for five days: Anne and Torben from Germany. They are as lovely as they look.

A couple of weeks ago we met some new friends who stayed with us for five days: Anne and Torben from Germany. They are as lovely as they look.

They were here for a friend's wedding. The bubbles that we used to usher the couple to their car after the ceremony also came in quite handy for entertaining a certain baby.

He was so interested that he had to get as close as possible to Anne's face to figure out what she was doing.

He also had this little spot on the floor where he liked to watch the bubbles. He would alternate between getting up and moving close to Anne's face to try to figure it out, and then he would move back and plop back down (in the same spot every time) to watch the bubbles come to him.

While Kelyn thoroughly enjoyed playing with his new playmates, we all wondered whether he liked Torben or Torben's toys (computer and iPhone) better. Whenever Torben brought one of them out, Kelyn was at his side instantly, attempting to push buttons and watch the screens. And, since Torben is nicer than Kelyn's parents, this technique was actually pretty effective.
