Time After Time

2008.01.15
This is my favorite clock!

Old school clock radio

Our interesting wooden clock. Look closely and you can see me in the picture

Always need the Microwave clock

Last but not least the stove clock!

At a conference I attended the speaker told us that most Native American cultures accomplished things as their inner spirit would lead them. They never did anything according to the "time". I found that really cool!

These are instruments of "time" around my house.

aurian Now this is a great idea for a set! I think that your favourite clock is mine also (as well as the glass/metal one that you're reflected in) ;)

oldbabe Clocks slay time... time is dead as long as it is being clicked off by little wheels; only when the clock stops does time come to life. ~William Faulkner

#1 is very pretty. Hard to teach kids how to tell time on that one, though!

Oh, and the speaker was probably correct about inner spirit time...that must be why I wake up every single morning at 2:30 to go to the bathroom!

MHJphotos Very cool post!

We go flyfishing in Montana. We were chatting once with this flyshop owner who said he went to work on "Montana time". Essentially, Montana time is "any time you want!" Now, THAT's my kind of schedule!

Lindyart that microwave clock looks like mine.. I love the first one and the glimpse of you in the older clock.... I do wish sometimes there was no such thing as time..:)

Queen911 Deep saying. I'm not a time person, I must get that from my cute cousin -

youlookmahvelous Yes, this is a great way to live. I worked in Yellowstone one summer and we were not allowed to have clocks. We ate, worked, played and slept as our bodies told us. It was fantastic, and a real eye opener. Thank you for the reminder.

lexlevans what a fun idea! and i love the tid bit about native americans - i wish i didn't have to follow time either...
lexlevans · 2008-01-15: 20:39
JuliaGotz I like the title - the song it reminds me of. I like the collection of clocks and time-tellers. Seeing a series makes me think about how many clocks I see every day. And the information about time is very interesting.

NatinKool You really come up with interesting ideas. I can see why you love the first clock. It's beautiful.
