I love the second and last shots! They are a beautiful example of progress. You might enjoy seeing Lex's post today if you haven't seen it yet. (lexlevans)

these are so cute! you're daughter is pretty (i've probably said this before, but i mean it! great smile!) i also love watching children make art - probably why i was an art teacher for my first career! my classroom was full of great kids and great times. and i agree with you about Dr. King's dream becoming a reality - i was thinking about it today and how even when i was young i rarely knew a world that wasn't appreciative of diversity (at least where i lived) - however lately i feel racism is directed towards other ethnicities in this country and we have to continue to fight that too!

Kate's hairstyle is wonderful! I can only imagine how long it would take to create such complicated braids! There is just something about art that brings people together, no matter their age or race. I often think the same as you - seeing all kinds of children playing together happily, and not having some of the judgements that adults might have. Modern culture is so much more inclusive than it used to be! :)

Great set, and great words! Dr. King's Dream is slowly, but surely becoming a reality. Thank God. #1 ... like mother... like daughter?! =)

Its so wonderful when kids havnt been exposed to any of their parents biases. They dont see the differences, only the fun the can have together. Looks like she had a wonderful time....I love 1, 3 and 4. :)
