Put some elbow grease in it!

As I walked outside yesterday I noticed chalk writings all over our fairly new fence. Could this be the work of criminals trying to vandalize our property?

NO! It was my mischievous 7 year old and her neighborhood friends!

Needless to say I was furious! I mean, don't get me wrong as a kid we did some dumb things but I can say that I've never in my life wrote all over some ones property.

So I decided to confront my daughter and her co-conspirators at the bus stop. The pointing of the fingers began. So I asked the parents of the neighborhood children if they had plans and they all said "Yes, my child is coming to clean off your fence!"

So here they are in 45 degree weather with the wind blowing cleaning the fence.

They are all really good kids but hopefully they learned something today.

haha - oh but you'll look back on it and laugh i'm sure. it's a fence cleaning party! hopefully it's nice and clean now. scrub scrub! :-D

Not my little baby girl!!! - Great for you! Your pictures are great and a lesson she (they) will learn. Thank goodness it was there and not on her Grandfather ( new fence).

glad you had them clean it .. the best way to learn :) cute story , my little girl who is now 17 .. my Kaitlin use to lay in her bed when she was like 3 at night and color beside the bed on the wall.. of course I found it after awhile and she helped paint it :) I won't tell the stories of what I did as a child hee hee :)

Way to stand your ground and make them take care of it. If all parents did that kids would be more respectfull. Ok, I guess I am done with my rant. Great post.

hahaha that is fantastic!! My favorite is that not only did you make them clean it (which you were 100% justified in doing) but then stood by and took pictures! Fantastic! You can be sure they learned something from this little adventure ;)
