Hot Red Cars

I’m at the Linden Cherry Festival. There are lots of “crop fests” here in California’s Great Central Valley - the Galt Strawberry Festival, the Tracy Dry Bean Festival, the Gilroy Garlic Festival, the Lodi Zin Festival, and of course, the Stockton Asparagus Festival. Every town has one, I think it’s the law!

Besides the sweet, sweet cherries, the car show is the main attraction here in Linden. I’m noticing that there sure are a lot of red cars. And why not? Red cars are hot. Red cars are sexier than other color cars. And more expensive. And faster. And cops pull them over more often.

Maybe all of that isn’t completely true. But red cars are the subject of much Internet discussion. Just Google "red car myths". You’ll see.

I once owned a hot red car. I drove it too fast. I totaled it. But I looked good in it, that’s all that mattered. Back then!
