thankful...

2008.11.20
These past few weeks have been full and awesome. I've had to stop several times and ponder how thankful i am that we are where we are.

This is the summer i268 team. They are a group of amazing people who travel to MB churches and lead worship for church, youth groups and conferences. This is from their west coast tour this summer and i am pretty sure they were in Seattle here. The team has changed a bit for the 08-09 academic year. We have more girls now. :)

The Carson House!! Matt works as director of the Carson Center here at Tabor, which is a new program promoting Missions/Service and Global awareness. Our winter and Spring Serve trips come under this along with the India trip that takes place in January. Here at Tabor there are theme houses and a group of girls got together, formed the Carson House and have done an amazing job serving their campus and community. Matt and I have the opportunity to work with them and it has been so much fun!

And i am so thankful for Starbucks, dates and time with Matt. And I am thankful for Matt, so thankful. He is a wonderful husband, a wonderful friend and i LOVE journeying through life together.

I've transferred from rehab/psych and now work on the surgery floor. I really like it and have learned so much already. The transition time was a bit hectic as i was working both units part time. It is nice to be only in one place now, and much less busy. I've really missed the people i worked with but i am enjoying my new co-workers a lot.

School continues to go well for both Matt and I. The end is in sight for both of us and that has been very encouraging. Although we laugh at ourselves from time to time at how much we enjoy school.

I don't have a picture but the homeless mission has been a huge blessing in our lives. Matt does their chapel service regularly and I have been able to serve meals. The last time we went was awesome. I am not sure if it is because it is coming up on a year of being there and we have been able to get to know the guys a bit and they feel more comfortable with us or if it is just the Lord's hand. Or maybe both! But being a part of their lives has been a highlight in our life these past few months.

God has been very good to us. We continue to be thankful for His provision, His love and His never ending kindness. We are thankful we know Christ!
