MFA Fenway Entrance Reopened

2008.06.20
"On June 20, the doors of the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance open, and a new era begins for the Museum’s handsome face to the Fenway. The renovation of this beautiful entrance, which opened in 1915 and has been closed since the late 1970s, marks an important step in the MFA's Building Project, re-establishing the building's north-south axis as originally designed by architect Guy Lowell." -- mfa.org

Brian and I drove around the Museum of Fine Arts on my lunch break to see the reopening of the Fenway Entrance (this is the Huntington entrance in this shot). There was a lot less fanfare than I was expecting, but they're having a big celebration on Sunday (which we will miss), and it was exciting to see an important development in the renovations of our beloved museum.

Construction on the east wing continues
