Head of the Charles

2008.10.18
The Head of the Charles regatta is a two-day rowing event along the Charles River - 7500 athletes in 55 races. Lots of people were out and about enjoying the amazing weather, the sparkling water and the glistening biceps.

Brian and I took our cameras for a little walk along the river, starting at the Mass Ave bridge. This is the view towards downtown.

This is the view on the Mass Ave Bridge towards Cambridge - those lines in the water are crew teams.

And this is the view from the bridge towards our beloved Kenmore Square.

I took a few shots of this guy without realizing that the soda can totally ruins the shot.

Make Way for Ducklings! This is my favorite shot from this group

Then Brian and I went to Fort Point Open Studios - it's a huge artist community down near South Station and we visited some fascinating and beautiful studios. This is the basement and 1st floor of one of the buildings we visited.

Then I went to Gwen's, helped her rearrange her kitchen, feasted on her delicious food, drank, talked, and suffered through Sarah Palin on SNL.

gnocchi, spinach and shrimp with fresh garlic in a gorgonzola cream sauce. i love gwen's Trader Joe's addiction

This photo doesn't even do it justice - Gwen's kitchen looks SO much bigger now
