I spent a wonderful day at several of my favorite institutions in the Fenway neighborhood. After a visit to the Gardner Museum to see my fellow volunteers and get an update on the expansion project, I refueled at the MFA cafe - this is a view out the window (note the light fixture reflections in the glass) of the Calderwood Courtyard.

My visit to the Fenway Studios (which has Open Studios all this weekend) was fascinating, enlightening, inspiring and downright pleasant! By the way, this building, which I was unaware of until about a month ago, is the only artists' studio building to earn the National Historic Landmark designation, which it's had now for 10 years.
