Beacon Hill Art Walk

2009.06.07
Brian and I did the Beacon Hill Art Walk ... residents of Boston's upscale Beacon Hill neighborhood opened up their private courtyards, patios and gardens for local artists to display and sell their work. It was really incredible to explore these hidden nooks and take in the beautiful work of local talented artists. Plus, the weather was lovely

We took in a few sculpture in the Public Garden before heading up the Hill

This fascinating sculpture commemorates the ground-breaking discovery of the use of ether as a pain reliever, a discovery which occurred at the nearby Mass General Hospital.

art in gardens!

one of the rare wide streets was closed off to traffic, and opened up to artists and their tents

More tents, this is under the red line tracks right near the Charles/MGH stop

Primus Avenue, a private way with more delightful gardens and nooks
