Everyday Tools

2013.06.16

Over a span of 50 years, my father was quite a skilled watchmaker looking through the eyeglass loupe and using these tools daily. Now as I sift through boxes and boxes of his 'stuff' (and wondering what I'm going to do with it all!), I remember him fondly on this Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there who work so hard for their families!

DancingDolphin What a nice tribute to your dad.

It's so hard deciding what to do with people's "stuff" ... my theory for what it's worth is that we can not expect our stuff to have value to others once we are gone... so in reverse thinking, the stuff other people leave mostly does not have value to us and we shouldn't feel bad about getting rid of it. It really is all just "stuff"....

busybee My father was a watchmaker as well and my husband was a clockmaker.......I had many hours as a child keeping all my fathers tools tidy.
