Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks - Part 1

Me, and the General Sherman Tree - this giant sequoia is over 2,300 years old and the circumference of the trunk is ~103 feet!

Ascending 400 steep steps to climb Moro Rock.

"Keep going, we're almost there!", they kept telling me. Yet, at every turn, there was another set of steps...and another and another...

At last! On top of this barren rock at 6,700 feet elevation, there is a great view of the Great Western Divide. My knees felt weak!

Breathtaking view! If only it wasn't so hazy and we were here at sunset...
