I'm sitting here shocked that the poor skunk was shot! He didn't do anything wrong (other than wander to the wrong part of town). So, yeah, he's a little stinky, but... oh its so sad!
Well, if he had only been stinky we would have just waited for him to wander off. But he was out during the day, could barely walk and wasn't scared of people, all signs that he was probably rabid. That's why we put him down. I'm generally not in favor of shooting animals for no reason. Hopefully that helps a little.

Nope, not from Oregon. We just took some kind of overnight field trip down there, maybe in 6th grade. I don't really remember...the memory seems to fade a bit more with every day! I went to elementary school in the Seattle area, Shorewood Elementary (the famous home of Mary-Kay Letourneau) :-) |

This is so calming. The rider seems so carefree. Great job! I notice that your horizon line is straight. ha ha Mat is constantly on me to level out my shots. I don't always notice it in the camera. I know he'll fix it for me pp. hehehe
thanks! Yeah, I usually try in the shot to get it straight, but sometimes I have to fix it a bit :-)

you guys certainly take the long way around to the ocean, by way of Seattle. Oh well, at least the scenery is nice. |

Ahhh. What a special day! I like the 4 generation pictures too. I can see Dan's dad's personality shine through these pictures. Now I know where Dan gets it! ha ha Thanks for sharing these with us!
Acutally, did you know that his dad is really his uncle? Ever hear of that song "I'm my own grandpa?" His dad died in a dynamite explosion out at Ft Lewis when Dan was just 2 weeks old, and Murl was stationed somewhere in the Navy. When he came home after some time, he and Dan's mom (his sister-in-law) met and fell in love. He then adopted Dan and his 2 other brothers, so his name didn't change, and the family was the same. Weird, huh? Vivian ended up with the same in-laws. Murl and Vivian then had a son, Dan's half brother, and also, his cousin.

Hmm...Is this HIPAA compliant? LOL Do you get tired of counting pills over and over? I always liked paying the pharmacy claims. I made a game out of seeing if I could remember what condition each drug was used prescribed for.
Of course it HIPPA compliant.....the screen you see before you is our "dummy" file, where we put voided prescriptions. I looked, there is nothing on that screen that is identifiable with any particular person. :) Actually, I don't count the pills all that much. I fill all the rx's on the computer all day. I count when the pharmacist is busy, or needs some catching up :)

This is in Orting? I've never heard of it, of course I don't water ski either. These are great shots - all of them! Great job capturing the moments!
Yeah, I hadn't ever heard of it either. Its just a little private lake right off the Orting highway about 3 miles past downtown (on the way to South Prairie) Thanks!
