More fire trucks arrived. They were hooking up to the hydrant across the street.

The fire was already pretty hot and throughout the house in minutes.

About 1:30AM last night I woke up and thought, "It's hot in here, I think I'll turn down the furnace" Then I noticed flashing lights and noise outside and this is what I saw next door.
My neighbours made it out ok, a smoke detector saved their lives and they had to go out through a window. The house didn't fare too well and is a total loss.
More photos later when I go through them, these were taken through the window from my kitchen.

Yikes!! That's WAY too close for comfort! Glad your neighbors made it out OK..... And these are spectacular shots!
