Don't have much time to tell you about this but we are driving northeast along one edge of a coulee (a huge riverbed cut by massive flows of water from melting ice flows from previous iceages).
|
This is known as Dry Falls. Formed by iceage floods. The cliffs are between 300 and 400 feet tall. Imagine a deluge of water 300 feet high cascading over these falls.

Powerlines taking electricity away from the Grand Coulee Dam. After this picture we ran out of daylight completely.

Here we go again! marvelous......not using the Motorhome ? a bit cramped in the Toyota, frying eggs on the engine block and were does the 42" Plasma go?? Thanks for the heads up on this, looking forward to 'our ' trip. Photos from your doorstep (so to speak) are great, and the roads look empty again... could this be a reflection on your driving Bill ? :-) Happy Trails....

Love the pictures! I've been to Dry Falls and was so fascinated by the falls and their history. We have driven this route and enjoyed it.
