Out of Idaho into Oregon on I-84.

Fertile farm land of eastern Oregon. We got off the Interstate and hit the back roads. There is so much more to see at 45-55mph rather than 75mph:)

Like weathered old buildings in small towns...
|
...and cows in nearby fields.
|
...and telephone poles...all in a row...
|
...and hay stacks.
|
...and fall foliage.
|
...and National Forests.
Makes me want to break out with a rendition of America the Beautiful;-) See you tomorrow...new places, same time. |

We made a short drive of 190 miles today from Boise, Idaho to John Day, Oregon.
The pictures above show us moving into the farming/ranching lands of eastern Oregon. The scenery was more spectacular then our pictures show because the most dramatic views of wide valleys and mountains in the afternoon were not worth taking because we were driving into the sun.
Our plan tomorrow is to drive west to Redmond, Oregon with a number of very scenic stops enroute.
