Day 18

2008.07.16
Early this morning Sparta gave me a huge scare. I had fallen asleep and she was still running around playing. I heard a sound like a bunch of stuff fell. I got up to make sure she was ok. The sound came from the bedroom but I couldn't find her. I kept calling her and when she cried I followed the sound. I thought she couldn't be in the bedroom and had to be in the living room. She wasn't there either. It sounded like she was under the floor which REALLY freaked me out. Then I was thinking there was no way she could push the closet door open but that if she stood on the bed she could have gone into it that way. So I opened the closet. Without even looking I knew that's where she was because she had the loudest purr. It sounded like a lawnmower. I picked her up made sure she was ok. Nothing was wrong and she ate up the attention.

Then I had a nightmare about a huge, maybe 20 pound, calico cat. Strapped behind her was like a diaper bag with wheels. It had tons of stuff in it like an address book. After opening it and looking on the right, like right before the first page it said something like "this is our cat Tinkerburry, if lost please return her." To this I was like "Heh Tinkerburry, who names their cat Tinkerburry? HAHAHA." Then the address was stamped on each page, no owner names or phone number. And that really annoyed me. So I decided to keep her for the night and look up their number in the morning. So that night she decides to give birth to a ton of sick kittens. Of course. There were so many that I thought some were Sparta's. I was trying to get them all to the vet and figure out what to do with all of them esp if I couldn't find Tinkerburry's owners. It was a stressful dream.

I spent tons of time with Sparta today. I saw the Mouse Trap game and thought I'd take pictures of her on it. I placed her on the box and she got comfortable. Her back was covering the word "Trap" so I told her to stay there and then slid her down a little. Then I had her look at my hand. It's so easy to take her picture. I bet a photographer could take amazing pictures of her.

After a while she rolled onto her belly and it looked like a snake slithering accross. Can you tell she's been eating? She was so skinny when I got her and now she has a gut.

She loves to bat at things. I like this except the flash looks crappy.

I took this to keep track of how much she's growing.

I covered the game and she got up. I thought I'd just let her do her own thing.

Haha her tongue's bent.

Batting makes her...

holy hell hyper!

She plays 'til she drops.

She's such a good kitty.
