Day 19

"You haven't talked to your friends in a long time. You should." That's what I was told today. I never know what to say to them. We have nothing in common. It's easier to not talk to them than to think of things to say. I remember when I was a child a pastor gave a sermon about backsliding. He said if one Suday you miss a sermon it becomes easier to miss the next, then the next. That's sort of how I think of friendship. It's easier to not make the effort.

Anyway today is the 2 week anniversary of having Sparta.

So she's 12 weeks old now. I think she needs a booster shot. I'll have to call the vet and see about getting her first visit soon. Well, technically it's not her first visit because the shelter was also a vet. I held her when she got a shot there. So it's not like she's 12 weeks and never had care. But I'm excited to take her.

This was the first picture I took of her eating. After seeing the LCD screen I was annoyed that I didn't get her whole face in the picture. It's not so easy getting her to look up when she's eating. The flash was really crappy too. I didn't think I'd keep it but figured I could look at it in editting. I cropped off part of the wall and changed the lighting. I think it looks really cool. And now we all know...Sparta chews with her mouth open.
