Our 3rd task was to learn about how the vines are prepared and where those come from.
These vines looks like simply sticks.
When the vines get to Casa Madero the put it in a cold room, the vines are in bags still with an old root and a lot of dirt.
Some of these vines come from France, but they bring a lot!
Theses vines are in the cold room so they can remain fresh ji ji and dont die.
So, to begin the work the workers take out of the cold room the necesary number of bags to work for that day, then they put the vines in a big plastic barrel with water so they dont get dry and then start to cut the old root and the other side of the stick, after that the put a powder so the new root grows faster than normally will do.
When they finished that, the sticks now pass to the hot room where there is a lot of humidity, there they put the vines in big boxes of wood, with fake snow so they can have more humidity, until the root borns.
The vines are in the boxes for 28 days then, they take them out to make a graft and cover it with a special wax and put them again in the boxes and wait 1 year.
Our job only was to cut the old root, because the other teams already finished with the grafting.
In the afternoon my team and i enjoy one bottle of wine in our yard resting after a hard day of work.
And then in the night the whole group got together in one house to drink more wine and talk talk and talk.
