This is what the Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 (NASB)

54But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.

55"O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"

56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;

57but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember this?

As a Christian, Jo’s victory was through her faith in Lord Jesus. So, she’s in heaven, eternally with her Father.

This is why, while we grieve her loss, we can also celebrate her victory. If only we could get a taste of what is to come, we probably will not grieve so hard.

Hearing the stories of and about Jo last evening, she made a lasting impact, not only to the people she touched, but to the Kingdom of God. And Alex, His chosen servant was to walk alongside her. He did. He fulfilled his earthly duties towards her with love, care and as the rightful head of the household and with Christ leading him.

Through their hardship, they have impacted lives and inspired. More importantly, they have led others to know the Lord, including her sister Jessica. What she did was to store up treasures not on earth but in heaven.

Matthew 6:19-20 (NASB)

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

20"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

Alex organized this dinner in memory of Jo. It wasn’t easy for him. I’m glad he did it. Not least because, one year on, it was a celebration of Jo’s life. Last year, understandably, it was all about grieving but today, it was a celebration. Not without pain, but a celebration nonetheless.

Alex had organized Jo’s favourite food to be served, there was a little service, singing of hymns, prayers and a few words about Jo from her teacher, ex-boss and friends.

John 14:1-3 (NASB)

1"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

2"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

3"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Reason to Design... #121:

"...TO RESPECT OPULENCE!"

At the 'Re/active' show, being held by Coventry University's Transport & Product Design department Alex Innes presented the Follet-Speed. As a 21st Century tribute to the Alvis "Speed" GTs of the 1930s Alex's design captures the "understated opulence... an exquisite aesthetic" that the original sport car brand exuded.

The 'Re/active' show is on until 5th June 2008.

MOCAD is a 22,000 square foot facility located where a former car dealership stood. The museum opened in 2006 and has had several exhibitions. Admission is free, however donations are accepted.

The Holy Hip-Hop! exhibit was featured February 8-April 20, 2008. The exhibit the paintings of Alex Melamid of 12 hip hop icons.

I would have taken more photos of the exhibit however right after shooting the one of 50 Cent the tour guide informed me photos were not allowed. I hate when that happens...

Powered by Photoblog.com

The village has been developed to convey the wisdom and the spirits of our ancestors to both domestic and international tourists.

The village has reproduced over 260 traditional houses reminiscent of the late Chosun Dynasty and has recreated the life of Korean people through the exhibition of various household goods. Overall, visitors can catch a glimpse of the lifestyle of the ancient Korean people in the 300,000 pyeong natural location, experience diverse traditional life at the Folk Village, and enjoy the museum in addition to the folk museum.

I’d recommend checking folk performance schedule which are involved Korean traditional wedding. Some number of newly married couple makes a traditional wedding performance to make celebration.

Additional, I advise you to visit traditional marketplace. In order to re-enact the atmosphere of the market place from the Shilla period and 30 kinds of local dishes are prepared in the style of olden days and facilities like wooden floors and inns are conveniently provided for visitors.
