grocery shopping was both frugal and fruitful. i got everything on my list for the $43 i brought.

the more macros i take and the more macros i see, the more i want a new camera. tips/suggestions are welcome.

i heart: trail mix with choc chips
i h8: that mayo is still part of our diet

It was nice out today.. high of only 60-somthing, which is lovely compared to the hot sticky days we have been having. Tomorrow the high is only going to be 59! YEHY! Here I am cheering for the cool weather and I know several of you are so sick of yours. Sorry... ;0)
Love to you all!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~
"Banana Pancakes"
-Jack Johnson

Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside...
But Baby, You hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song is meant to keep ya
From doing what your supposed to
Like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
Ill make you banana pancakes
Pretend like its the weekend now

And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside

But just maybe, laka ukulele
Mommy made a baby
Really don't mind the practice
Cause your my little lady
Lady lady love me
Cause I love to lay here lazy
We could close the curtains
Pretend like there's no world outside

And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside
Aint no need aint no need Mmmm MMmmm
Cant you see cant you see
Rain all day
And I don't mind.

The telephone is singing
Ringing its too early
Don't pick it up
We don't need to we got everything
We need right here
And everything we need is enough
Just so easy
When the whole world fits inside of your arms
Don't really need to pay attention to the alarm
Wake up slow, yeah wake up slow
You hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song is meant to keep ya
From doing what your supposed to
Like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
Ill make you banana pancakes
Pretend like its the weekend now

And we could pretend it all the time
Can't you see that it's just raining
Aint no need to go outside
Aint no need, Aint no need
Rain all day and I really really really don't mind
Can't you see cant you see,
You gotta wake up slow

I've had travel on the brain of late and this photo captures both of my major foreign journeys rather harmoniously.

My premiere excursion across the world took me to Japan were every forest is burgeoning with bamboo, sturdy and swaying. More recently, I found myself in the depths of the Peruvian Amazon Jungle where instead, every nook was brimming with banana trees, swollen with fruit.

It's incredible to walk outside and have mementos of two once-in-a-life-time jaunts, lull you into sweet memories.

Until tomorrow...

Cheers.

Breezer M.

No Fat Banana Bread/Muffins by veganess

The recipe is "no fat" but depends on the egg substitute you use. I used the flax egg substitute (1 TBSP ground flax - 2 1/2 TBSP water), so there is a trace of fat in mine (but, that also added a bit of fiber all the good stuff flax has to offer).

2 very ripe bananas
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce (I always have the lunch snack packs available, just for recipes)
2/3 cups sugar
2 egg substitutes
1/4 cup soymilk (or water)
1 2/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
cinnamon to taste

Oven to 350 - spray loaf pan (I used a muffin pan)
Mix wet ingredients, incorporate well. Mix dry ingredients, and fold into wet mixture, just until moist. DO NOT OVER MIX.

Bake 30-40 minutes, or until center is moist, but you can tell it's done. For muffins, bake 25 minutes.

Powered by Photoblog.com

Thursday night was craft night at Sarah Ruth's with Eileen. Jeff came over and then so kindly went back home to get his copy of the british version of The Office. i did no crafting, i haven't settled in enough to think of crafts and i was still in my job fair clothes. Friday night Rachel and i went to Frank's, i had a monstrous fish fry, well half of it. then we rediscovered our...fascination? with Limp Bizkit and Korn in the Wegman's parking lot. Tonight i finally got to see Buffalo 66 thanks to Eileen, and i got to see the kitty and eat some homemade banana bread, mmm.

Powered by Photoblog.com
