All the clubs have been closed down
This place, is coming like a ghost town
Bands won't play no more
too much fighting on the dance floor

Do you remember the good old days
Before the ghost town?
We danced and sang,
And the music played inna de boomtown

This town, is coming like a ghost town
Why must the youth fight against themselves?
Government leaving the youth on the shelf
This place, is coming like a ghost town
No job to be found in this country
Can't go on no more
The people getting angry

This town, is coming like a ghost town

Dillington is a beautiful listed building but my hopes to grab a picturesque shot of the house were dashed when I saw the scaffolding outside. Instead this evening I took a photo of the most amazing knarled tree in the garden – it looked quite ghostly with the nearby floodlighting. I had to use a high ISO to hand hold it so there’s quite a lot of noise but I’m quite pleased with the detail I’ve managed to capture in the bark.

Powered by Photoblog.com

School work has been blatantly ignored, despite the impending doom of assignments being due tomorrow and Tuesday, and having yet to be started on. :-/ I go through ups and downs of caring about school. Some days I want to work really hard to graduate with high honors (which will require several A's this semester), and other days I don't care what I graduate with, so long as I can actually escape. Today I'm feeling the latter. The other thoughts I often go back and forth between wishing I could quit school now and just do photography . Other days I realize how dumb that would be. More and more days are the latter actually, as the amount of time I need to survive decreases. Today is the latter, but that be mainly because of the awful winds we've been having, and the fact I haven't taken any photos since returning from San Diego. Hope the wind is calm later this week, the trees on campus are blooming, and everyone wants to see more tree blooms! Sigh...

Powered by Photoblog.com

I usually have the setting on AV and press the zoom button. The starfish was taken at night on my desk (I guess that's not natural light:) ). I placed it on a white napkin and went in for the shot. Not sure I liked the lighting. It seems a little cold.

Powered by Photoblog.com

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are macros of Birch Bark. I find the bark of this tree to be fascinating! However, I must admit to be finding it very difficult to post something new everyday ... perhaps resorting to posting a dozen macros of Birch Bark is my queue to take a break from posting until I can come up with something a little more interesting to the rest of the general public!

It was either this or more Kaleidoscopes!

Powered by Photoblog.com
