Mark's dad and his little sister are down from Mildura for the weekend for one of Elise's basketball games. Tonight we headed over to the stadium to watch The Midura Heat V's The Hawthorn Magic. What a challenge to shoot!!!! Yikes. Most of the shots turned out to be rubbish. Low light meant upping the ISO which = you guessed it, lots of grain :( So I thought I'd have a try at a little PPing (those of you who know me, know im not too keen on much PP work)...... Anyway, we just picked up an iMac today (in LOVE!!!!) and while the screen is fabulous im not used to it's brutally honest clarity and am unsure how the editing turned out.... So i welcome any honest critique....how does it look from your end?!......but please, be gentle with me as I am well aware that this is not my finest work..lol...

These girls are between 11 and 13 years old. They are fond of Basket-Ball, and their team is 2nd champion in their age class. They left today to Guadeloupe, our sister island and will spend 5 days there. Ces filles sont âgées de 11 à 13 ans. Elles adorent le Basket et leur équipe (l'Hirondelle du Marin) est 2nde au championnat de leur catégorie. Elles sont parties ce matin rès tôt pour la Guadeloupe où elles passeront 5 jours.

Andre and I took Cash back to his favorite hangout...The Duck Pond. As I said before, it's a man made pond right in front of an office building. It is home for many types of ducks, and Cash really gets a kick out of it. There is also a parking lot with a basketball hoop, so Cash and Andre played around a little. It was a fun afternoon with my beautiful family.

Final home game for the seniors. I tried a new approach for the final game. Instead of a 70-200mm zoom lens, I took a 16-70mm zoom and a fixed 300mm lens. I wasn't looking for any more action shots, since I already have a few nice ones, but I ended up with some cool action ones. I was focusing on the players and coaches, and getting some reaction shots of them. I wanted to get a nice overview shot too and those are the last ones. Enjoy.
