I can't keep them in the bathroom much longer. They're destroying the place!

I've had to take all my makeup out of the bathroom, since it normally sits in a box on top of the back of the toilet. Pippin was sitting on the box yesterday. If the box (looks like a little treasure chest) fell on one of the kittens, they could be seriously hurt. And if my makeup fell and opened, it would all fall into the trash can and the litterbox. And I'd cry.

They decided they like laying in the sink, too. So I have to keep my contact case & glasses inside the medicine cabinet. Don't want them playing with those either.

And I've long since taken my hairdryer out of the bathroom. I've been "doing" my hair in the kitchen.

I just hope they haven't been licking our toothbrushes. Ewwww. I know where else they lick!

I love my kittens, but I want my bathroom back!

Powered by Photoblog.com

I was planning on going to the library to find sources for a research paper due 4/10 (I was shit-out-of-luck, however; apparently only large libraries carry any information on the war in Darfur) when mom asked if I wanted to get my hair cut. It was getting long enough to stick in my shirt collar, but not long enough to stay put. It was irritating; so I got it cut.

It turned out a bit shorter than I thought it would be -- I was wearing my glasses when I got it cut, but had to take them off. So when the hair dresser (also named Heather) asked me if it looked good, I said yes. I joked with mom that, given a few tweaks, I could look like Anton Chigurh.

Now that I've figured out what to do with it, I love it much more, and I don't look like Chigurh. Thank god*.

On the other hand, next semester I will be taking Spanish, Yoga (hopefully!), English, and European History. I am so ready to be over these science classes!

It's turning out to be a much slower process than anticipated. I just hope that anyone who visits either doesn't need to use the facilities or doesn't mind the messy master bathroom. =P

I didn't manage to get any fun and exciting pictures in and around church today...and since time was ticking away to take a photo, I decided to show off some of the new bathroom tile.

It's not exactly on the bathtub walls yet...but here's a sneak peek at the ornate part of it. Now all we have to do is choose the vanity...and the commode...and the lighting...and the paint color... Oy...when is this ever going to get done!

Powered by Photoblog.com

No big plans to go out. Nick has a few meetings today at the 'office' (Sabor y Cultura Coffee Shop) for a new project with a man named Gordy Grundy (quite the name) and another to get paid from a prior gig. I'm just hangin' out here.

So, when I hopped out of the shower this afternoon (that's right, NOT this morning haha) I just loved the way the light was streaming through the bathroom window. With my hair dripping all over the place, I ran for the camera, grabbed the chair's foot rest, and clambered around until I got the shot that I wanted.

I'm pretty sure that before this was a bathroom, it was a closet, since there happens to be a matching window in our actual closet, and since it's the world's smallest bathroom. Therefore, getting the foot rest in there was damn near impossible and trying to get the angle I wanted was just as nearly so. However, I'm happy with the turn out and decided to look no further for today's photo.

When the lights are on and the sun sets, this window is completely opaque. I love how when the sun beams, it flashes this fancy field of fruits.

See y'all tomorrow.

Cheers.
