The QuarryCats are a large group of homeless cats that live in a wooded area and rock quarry near the North Fork of the Shenandoah River outside of town. I have the privilege to help care for them.

The Quarry Cats now have their own website. I have set it up to accept donations via Paypal and to try to help adopt out some of the cats that are able to be adopted. Any donations are greatly appreciated and go directly to cat care.

oh god, they need help.... there must be some rescue groups in your area, no? poor infected kitties. and there are so many and feral ( i remember you wrote that), i know its easy for me to give free advice but is there a way to catch them, treat them and neuter them? and even release them back since they are not domesticated. at least they wouldnt be breeding. veronicainheels · 2012-02-19: 21:37

It makes me sad. You are kind to help them. We have an organization called Dominos House here where a woman takes them in from kittens, ferrels, to old and sick cats, socializes them (NO KILL SHELTER) and tries to adopts them out. She receives various government grants to help fund - which she applies for, but unlike humane society, they do not euthanize them. miahurricane · 2012-03-04: 11:03
