This is the steam train Oliver Cromwell which undertook the last scheduled steam journey on August 11th 1968. It is now kept in the Railway Museum at York and is used for nostaligic tours around the country. Today it was undertaking one such journey and passed very close to where we live.


Whenever I see an old steam train it always reminds me of this song which has now been going round in my head all day!
