When I went to the bank today I received a £50 note in the money I withdrew. I dont often get to see one of these notes so it made me wonder what I could buy with it.

5,000 penny sweets
100 Cadbury creme eggs
50 things from Poundland
10 bottles of wine
1/2 gas BBQ
1/7th of an IPhone
1/100th of a new car (even with the new scrappage allowance)

And of course if I was an MP it would help pay for my duck island or moat cleaning or that mortgage I'd forgotten I'd already paid off!

And for those that like quizzes, do you know who is on the back of the note?

I like reddish-pink money...all the paper bills in the US are green. Seems like it would be beneficial to have different colors for different denominations - maybe less mistakes made. Interesting to see what all your 50 pound note can buy! lookagain · 2009-05-24: 08:50
