This oak tree stands in the park at Helmingham Hall in Suffolk. It is believed to be the oldest oak in the park and is thought to be up to 900 years old (although it looked a bit dead to me!)

Not sure which is better - black and white or colour?

danrav I like the art image of the B&W but I like the color as a tribute to the tree. The color enhances its magesty and beauty!

TIM927 b&w for me without doubt, adds drama to its naked branches. Colour reflects reality, b&w gets art out of reality, but of course, that is only question of opinions, I cant hide im a b&w fan :)))

girafferacing There's something about the B&W which enhances the lines so well. Wonderful!

livelovelaugh b/w is certainly more dramatic, but I love color too. It's sad to see that it seems the tree is dead. :)

liveandletlive Gorgeous! Normally I pick color, but in this case the black and white is just phenomenal.
