Photography Assignment #1

2008.09.06

Our first assignment was to learn what adjusting the shutter speed would do, keeping everything else constant. It's easy for me to see now that the longer shutter speeds allow in more light and blurred the water from the fountain, whereas the instantaneous shutter speeds didn't allow any light in. The shutter speeds in between seemed to capture more of movement of the water.

No grade yet. It's bein turned in today. :)

BuffyEyes Good luck on your grade. Your pictures hit the assignment right on. Let me know your grade. We had a digital photo class just recently start at our college. I went to the first class, but we had to take some pictures of some ugly artwork on campus, learn old programs CS only and used Windows XP (I have Vista), which isn't the latest software and I didn't care to learn a new editing system. I have Photoshop Elements 5 which I like and am still learning through books. The class had an instructor and assistant. The instructor said see me after class if you have any questions and about 30 people huddled around him. So you can see, very little time or answers, plus driving back and forth to school, buying a $40 book and a flash card. It got too expensive.
