I have stared at this photo for quite a while. It feels like one of those Escher optical illusions to me, but maybe it has just been a long day, and I need to take my contacts out. This is my driveway this morning, with my footprints, wheel prints of my garbage can being taken out for garbage pickup, and tire tracks from the previous night. They are all imprints in 2 inches of snow.

The sun is on the right, and so shadows are on the right, and bright sun on the left of the imprints. But look at it long enough, and it looks like all the images project out into the viewers' space, and the sun is on the left. Maybe it's just me...No -- there it goes--the tire tracks are raised up above ground, illuminated from the left, shadow then on the right! and now all the footprints are raised up as well!

But, in the end, the sun melted it all, and so now it is only a figment ............

danrav Steve, this is amazing! What a great post and a good example of thoughtful shooting. Now as soon as I get to work, I placing a call to a Testing company to get plans started on marketing some new diagnostic personality tests! Thanks for the idea!!
