Better Late than Never, I Say!!!

This was the spread @ Project Angelheart today, one week after my birthday. Since I never made it there last week, I decided to buy another carrot cake and still try and celebrate my birthday. Denise brought in the Boston Cream Pie in the center and Chelley brought the chocolate cupcakes for me, as well. The Thursday afternoon volunteers had heard of my mishap and were concerned about me. It was wonderful to return in one piece, to friends, and chow down some tasty desserts. I even went off my diet!!!
At African dance tonight, I reflected on my birthday last week, the accident, and the celebrations, especially the joy and spontaneity of the african birthday dance. It helped to put into perspective for me the last couple of weeks, and what is important about life, and friendships, and connections. Thanks to all, sincerely.....
