Last of the Snow (for now)

It has been a colder than usual winter. It snowed and never melted, like it usually does. There has been snow in the street in front of my house for the whole winter it seems. But today, there is only a tiny patch of snowy ice left. I want to just run it over with my car, and watch it disappear.
Unfortunately, more snow is predicted for tonight. What's up with my luck?
